New Vendor Registration

The Vendor Committee is pleased you are interested in applying to be a vendor for the Scandinavian Midsummer Festival in Golden. On this page you can complete your application, pay for your fees, and download any important forms. Please read everything on this page as information may have changed since last year. THE VIKING MARKET WILL BE RETURNING IN 2025!

We are a Scandinavian Midsummer festival and do our best to ensure attendees can experience Scandinavian culture. All vendors must have some items that are of a Scandinavian-related design.

A non-refundable $20 jury fee is required with your submission. Three photos of your work, one of your booth/display, and one of you in your studio are required. Please include a short list of items being sold. Email your photos to vendor@scandinavianallianceofcolorado.org and include your business name as it is listed on this application.

A limited number of vendors are accepted into each of our categories. These categories are dependent on each of our vendors and their inventory. If you are not accepted into the festival, your jury fee will not be refunded.


REQUIREMENT FOR VENDORS: Our insurance policy mandates that all VENDORS must provide proof of current CERTIFICATE OF LIABILITY INSURANCE due June 1, 2025.

2025 Details

The 2025 Scandinavian Midsummer Festival, organized by the Scandinavian Alliance of Colorado, is held in the heart of historic Golden’s downtown shopping district.

The dates for the 2025 festival are still under review. Possible dates are June 28 - 29, 2025 with Friday June 27, LOAD-IN

PLEASE READ!!!

As Civic Green Park is a very busy public park, the earliest time that you may set up is at 4:00pm on Friday, June 27. There is a specific drive-up, un-load your gear, and drive-out and park system that the Park employs. You will drive up to the load-in dock, unload your items, and our staff will take them to your spot. There are ramps all around the Park, so if you’d like to park just on the street by the park and unload yourself, then there are wide rams for you to use a cart to bring your stuff to your cart. We will send you very specific information about this process in an upcoming email.


THE VIKING MARKET

For our 2025 festival, we are creating a Viking Market that is an option for any vendor who sells primarily items that are replicas or inspired designs from the Viking Age. Items such as drinking horns, chain mail, tablet weaving, Viking style wood work, Viking jewelry and clothing, Norse mythology items, Mediaeval Crosses, or traditional Celtic/Viking designed items etc.

Vendors in the Viking Market will be located together next to the Fjellborg Living History Encampment. Vendors are required to have their own tent, preferably a Viking or Mediaeval style tent or a regular 10’ x 10’ or 10’ x 20’ tent that is decorated in Viking style. All Viking Market vendors and their staff are required to dress in Viking style attire during festival hours. All Viking Market participants are considered regular vendors. The standard vendor fees and requirements still apply and there is no additional charge. COME HUSTLE LIKE A VIKING!

Cultural Organizations Shade & INfo Tents

NEW!

We are offering Cultural Shade Tents for your organization members and whomever else you want to join you. We encourage you to have information about your group, decorations, and/or activities that engage with the public.

IF YOU WANT TO VEND FROM THIS TENT:

You may sell items NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS INCLUDING BOTTLED WATER and non-food craft items from this tent, however you will have to register as a vendor for $150 and obtain a current certificate of liability insurance. As you are non-profit organizations, you will not need to collect tax.

Fee schedule:
If your organization needs us to provide and set up a tent with 50lb weights on each leg, the following fees apply. We will set up your tent, decorate it with the flags of your country, and provide tables, cloth table cloths, and chairs for you. You will be able to take command of your shade/info tent at 11:30am when it is finished and ready for you. We will take it down for you at the end of the Festival.

Important Details About the Festival

SETUP

Set up is Friday from 4:00pm - 10:00pm. There are plenty of lights in the park and we will have staff to help you unload and set-up. You will receive your setup time before the festival. No Saturday set-up is allowed.

You must provide your own tent and display, unless you are a cultural organization ordering a shade tent from the festivalo. Booths must be secured by weights (at least 50 lbs. per tent leg). Stakes are allowed, provided that they are not massive iron stakes, but lighter tent stakes that come with the 10 x 10 tents. . Spaces are a standard 10 ft. x 10 ft. Your tent must be a 10 ft. x 10 ft. white top tent unless approved by the festival director.

CANCELLATION POLICY & DEADLINES

If you cancel by May 15 2025, you will receive a refund minus credit card processing fees. After June 1st, no refund will be given.

Proof of Current CERTIFICATE OF LIABILITY INSURANCE due June 1, 2025. Email a copy of your proof of insurance to vendor@scandinavianallianceofcolorado.org by June 1st.

A sales tax number is mandatory and must be provided by June 1, 2025 or you will be unable to participate!

You must complete the following form. There is no print option. Once finished, you will receive a bill which you can pay online or by check.

By submitting your application you are agreeing to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Scandinavian Midsummer Festival, the Scandinavian Alliance of Colorado, the City of Golden, and any and all sponsors, agents, employees, representatives, members, and volunteers from any loss or liability, including the costs of attorney fees made by an individual or entity of or arising in connection with, out of, or in relation to my participation in the Scandinavian Midsummer Festival.
